I set my alarm for 6:30 and I was almost out the door... ALMOST. All I had to do was grab my water bottle and I would have made it to the 7:30 AM CrossFit. But noooooooo... Had to take stock of the pain. (In my glutes because of yesterday's 176 lunges. And in my calves from all those damned jump ropes.) And I thought, nah, will just do CrossFit every other day. Because who wants big calves? I certainly wouldn't want to turn into a cow... I did an about-face and went back to bed.
Sigh... Thinking is not always a good thing. One foot in front of the other, remember? Otherwise your mind (well, MY mind) will come up with ten billion reasons for why it is better to stay in bed. And all you really need is one not-so-really good reason, really.
I did come up with a few good ones though:
- It is ALWAYS better to stay in bed.
- If I compound pain with more pain, I'll be useless the next few days and won't be able to workout at all.
- I REALLY don't want big calves. (Nor can I deal with jumping rope on a daily basis.)
- CrossFit three times a week should be enough. (- It should be, no???!)
Okay, my minimum CrossFit requirement for myself is three times a week because I really am not too fond of dying, even if it's only for 20 to 30 minutes a day and, if I can go to more sessions in a week, then yay for me. I should be doing four to five sessions though by the end of the year.
