I finally got off my ass and started running again.
I hate running.
I'm all about living in the moment but, when it comes to running, I think it's best that you're as far removed from the moment as possible. If you could leave your body and go to the moon, you probably should. You want hard, driving music cranked to the point where you can't hear yourself think or breathe and you've entirely blocked out the sound of your body screaming in pain.
I hate running. My legs turn into logs and my toes feel shattered.
I think I may have damaged my feet permanently when I was practicing barefoot at Krav Maga. But I only ever feel it whenever I run. (In this picture, I had already learned my lesson and donned some shoes for protection.)
Last week, I ran:
- Wednesday (20 March): 4 km, 33:32 + 3 sets, 15 reps kettlebell swings (16 kg), 3 sets, 15 reps (3 kg dumbbells)
- Friday (22 March): 4 km., 33:04 + 3 sets, 15 reps kettlebell swings (16 kg), 3 sets, 15 reps (3 kg dumbbells), 3 sets, 10 reps TRX rows
- Saturday (23 March): 4 km, 32:12, + 3 sets, 15 reps kettlebell swings (16 kg), 3 sets, 15 reps (3 kg dumbbells), 3 sets, 10 reps TRX rows, 3 sets, 10 reps TRX chest press
- Sunday, Monday: rest days
Yes, I still do 20 laps in the pool everyday. Except for yesterday and today, when I am doing absolutely nothing at all.
