After a week (okay, two weeks) of milkshakes and ice cream, what did I think would happen? Ugh. I think this is the heaviest I've been in a long time. I can't fit into my clothes.
Not "whale", smarty pants! Although I am getting there... (Internet file photo.)
<groan>
I did exercise.
A little bit.
I did kettlebells and Krav Maga on Wednesday and Friday. Then, today, I took advantage of the free KravFit trial class at 10 AM, followed by two sessions of Krav Maga (10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM -3:00 PM).
I'm so out of shape. (Unless "blob" qualifies as a shape.) I was panting like a dog at KravFit. And that was just at the warm-up. I don't know why, on an ordinary day, I have so much energy - even after a grueling workout - that I can still walk the length of the room and back doing lunges. Today, at the warm-up, I could barely get to one end of the room. (Could it be the lack of sleep? Too early in the morning, perhaps?)
Then I almost died doing the mountain climbers. And we couldn't have been doing it for more than a minute. (The instructor set up seven stations to form a circuit and we did two sets of the circuit.)
At the morning session of Krav Maga, we practiced getting out of arm grabs and I partnered with a new student (some American guy). His grip was so strong that I now have nasty bruises on my arms.
I need to get to the gym more.
For someone who isn't doing anything, I have no time for anything.
I seriously have ten billion things to do. Most of which needed to be done YESTERDAY. It's a good thing I like to procrastinate when it comes to worrying too.
Tomorrow should be the last day to this madness. I want to go to "Best Food Forward" in the morning, where my food-group buddies have some booths. I definitely have to sample their goodies. Then, in the evening, my dad is celebrating his 70th and I think we have four different cakes for him. Plus I ordered what is touted to be "the best lechon in Manila".
There go the braces.
(My last wires were cut again and now I can't move up wires since my back tooth - where the wire is always cut - is not aligned with the rest of my teeth so I now have to move down wires and, in other words, I've taken two steps forward and ten thousand back. Sound familiar? Story of my life.)
That's the day AFTER tomorrow for me, thankyouverymuch.
P.S. - One of the things on my not-so-urgent to-do list is to compile a list of new stuff that I've tried that I think you might like. Like those yema cupcakes at Slice Cafe, next to Jamba Juice, at Bonifacio High Street Central. Of course, by the time I get around to compiling that list, they may already be old news, out of business or faded from memory, but, er, it is on my to-do list. Anyhow, there's one recommendation right there for you. <ticking that one off the list>
